September 17 - 19, 2010 Sylvania, OH Building on the success of the ‘98 Rankings Rumble on the Rink tournament series, Playmaker Sports USA LLC is bringing together the top Tier II teams from around the US and Canada in this preseason invitational tournament. Like all Playmaker Sports USA LLC events, teams are guaranteed quality competition through an invitational format. Teams are guaranteed 4 games with finalists playing 6. OK, someone needs to justify “Gate Fees” to us at Playmaker Sports USA LLC… Aren’t hockey tournaments expensive enough for your families? It seems that “Gate Fees” are a growing trend within the tournament circuit and we don’t understand why teams continue to go to tournaments that charge family members to watch their players compete. I guess it’s one thing if an association is running a tournament and using the proceeds to fund a scholarship program, but shouldn’t that be clearly addressed on the tournament application? Last year, at a tournament in Toronto, I got to the front door of the rink and had to pony up $150 in “Gate Fees” for my family to watch my son compete. Another Dad on the team and I did a quick calculation and figured that the association collected approximately $80,000 from “Gate Fees” during the weekend. You can’t tell me that the $1350 per team tournament entry fee didn’t cover the costs of the tournament.
Playmaker Sports USA LLC WILL NEVER CHARGE A “GATE FEE” for our tournaments or festivals. Hockey is expensive enough and we are really good at determining the cost of the event before you get there. |

January 9-10, 2010 Ottawa Park Ice Rink This festival will celebrate hockey in its purest form; outside, in the elements, with plenty of fun and memories for the players. Don’t worry parents, there is spectator seating outside or if you prefer to stay out of the elements, you can watch the game through the windows of the warming building and have a cup of cocoa from the concession stand. |

April 16 - 18, 2010 Tam-O-Shanter Sylvania, OH In cooperation with 98 Rankings, this spring invitational tournament will feature the top ’98 birth year teams from around the Midwest. Teams will receive quality competition, a 4 game guarantee and finalists will play 5 games. |

January 6 - 9, 2011 Toledo, OH This festival will celebrate hockey in its purest form; outside, in the elements, with plenty of fun and memories for the players. Teams can sign up to play 1 game or 2 on the regulation size outdoor rink, complete with boards, glass and lights. Mites - 10 minute periods, Squirts - 11 minute periods, Pee Wee and Bantams - 13 minute periods. Don’t worry parents, there is spectator seating outside or if you prefer to stay out of the elements, you can watch the game through the windows of the warming building and have a cup of cocoa from the concession stand. |

September 24 - 26, 2010 Sylvania, OH In cooperation with ‘98 Rankings, this 3rd Annual preseason invitational tournament will be expanded to feature 32 of the top Tier II ’98 birth year teams from around the US and Canada. The tournament will feature a 2 game seeding round, teams will be split into top 16 and lower 16 and advance to the play down rounds, including; Round of 16, Quarterfinals or Consolation Game, Semi-finals and Championship. Teams are guaranteed 4 games with finalists playing 6. Tournament begins Friday morning at 7:00 am. |
